Our story

Abstraction Dance Company was founded with a simple belief: dancers deserve a creative home where artistry is valued as much as technique. While many opportunities in the dance world focus on competitions or short-term projects, we envisioned a community that welcomes and supports dancers through every stage of their journey.

We saw a need for a space where dancers could continue training at a high level, explore their creativity, collaborate with like-minded artists, and perform meaningful work without the pressures of competition or the demands of conventional programs.

What began as a small community of passionate dancers has evolved into a company built around artistic exploration, professional-level training, and authentic connection.

Today, Abstraction brings together dancers from across Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Phoenix, and the East Valley to learn from one another, create original work, and perform meaningful pieces.
