Based in Phoenix, Arizona, we welcome adult dancers from Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and throughout the East Valley who are looking for consistent dance training, original choreography, creative collaboration, and meaningful performance opportunities.

Once accepted, you’ll receive everything you need to join rehearsals and become part of the Abstraction community.Video auditions are accepted year-round, although our official season begins each August.

Yes. The Adult Company is designed for dancers with previous training who are comfortable learning choreography and participating in rehearsals.

Absolutely.
Many of our members return after taking time away because of college, careers, or life. If you’re motivated to train consistently again, we’d love to meet you.

Company members participate in weekly Sunday rehearsals throughout the season along with scheduled performances, workshops, and occasional creative projects depending on availability.

Yes.
Placement begins with our video audition process so we can ensure every dancer is placed in the environment where they’ll thrive.

While the company emphasizes contemporary/fusion dance, members also explore choreography influenced by jazz, hip hop, improvisation, and commercial movement depending on the project.
